Maintenance, Torque Specs, & Info
Anodized Products:
Anodizing is an electrochemical conversion process that permanently changes the outer structure of a metal. Aluminum naturally develops a seal that prevents further oxidation. Aluminum's porous nature makes it possible to dye the material in different colors.
The surface can be scratched with the anodize being between 8-12 microns in depth. The layer typically resists rock chips, road film, and heat.
Stainless Steel & Titanium:
Clean with soapy water and a microfiber towel. Avoid any acidic or abrasive products.
Torque Specs:
Stainless and titanium hardware, we suggest using the factory recommended specs.
Aluminum is much softer and extra precaution must be taken:
- 5mm Thread Diameter use ~1.84 ft lb
- 6mm Thread Diameter use ~3.68 ft lb
- 8mm Thread Diameter use ~7.37 ft lb
